2015 41st Annual ClovisFest & Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly
This coming weekend, September 19 & 20th, 2015, is Clovis Fest & the Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly!
Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly:
The balloons will inflate & lift off from the Clovis Rodeo Grounds around 6:15 am! By about 7 am, the colorful, hot air-filled orbs will be rising and floating across the valley sky. No way all this smoke from The Rough Fire can block the view of these vibrant balloons! Sorry, but no balloon rides are available to the public.
Across the way from the Rodeo Grounds, Clovis Fest will be in the works. Feeling hungry after all that hot air balloon excitement? Stop by a local Old Town business for a great meal to start your day. Not feeling a restaurant? Fret not, there will be tons of delicious festival food vendors, from barbeque or Mexican food to chicken or egg rolls, and much more! After your meal, stroll around the about 200 craft and commercial booths to find something special. And if you’re looking for entertainment, you need not travel far because you’ll find Luche Xtreme Wrestlers, Raceroom Simulators & No Surrender laser tag on 7th Street along with the Clovis North Robotics team over on Fifth Street. Don’t forget to catch the big display of Toy Haulers on Pollasky between 7th and 8th Street. Feeling hungry? Craving a snack you can’t just get anywhere and anytime? You’ve come to the right place, my friend. Kettle corn, shaved ice, cotton candy, smoothies and so much more from classic festival food to specialty snacks can be found within the streets of ClovisFest! And for our 21+ crowd, don’t miss the Bud Lite Beer Garden! The ultimate festival spot to sip on a cold brew and listen to some local talent. And for the youngin’s, there will of course be a full-sized carnival over on 4th street along with balloon animals and the roaming magician, William Opal!
We’ll see you there- whether you come for the balloons, the food, the entertainment or simply just the fun!
