Antiques & Collectibles Fair in Old Town
The Fall Antiques & Collectibles Fair will take place on Sunday, September 27th, 2015 from 8am-3pm. More than 90 vendors get together biannually for this antiques & collectibles event, and thousands of people attend each time!
Our dealers provide a diverse variety of items from the past: old books and magazines, records, instruments of all kinds (musical and otherwise), military memorabilia, jewelry, kitchenware, furniture, glassware, clothing and so much more! Although the event officially starts at 8am, shoppers always seem to come extra early (before the vendors even begin selling!) to scout out what the event has to offer and snatch up some great finds! Now that’s dedication! This event has something for everyone, young and old.
Free appraisals will be provided by Kathy Osterberg Sobelman from 9-11am and 1-3pm. Due to the large amount of participation in the free appraisals we have had to limit this to one item per person. Kathy is a walking encyclopedia on all things and can teach you the history of your items as well as give you a “ball park” value. What’s HOT this year? Items for re-purposing (of course), “steam punk”, gadgets, doors and windows, 40’s & 50’s hats and purses, Jadeite, unusual art, hardware, quality cut crystal (but not Flow Blue), local potters, and of course – Mid-Century Modern furniture and accessories! What’s NOT selling well? Collector plates and limited editions, Hummels, Carnival Glass, Jewel Tea Autumn Leaf, china sets, ivory and other banned items, vintage and antique rugs… We always recommend that you collect what you LOVE, but don’t always expect what you love to have a high value!
The Antiques & Collectibles Fair offers free parking, free admission, awesome food, sweet finds and a variety of treasures!
Reminder that this is a Rain or Shine event (because we all know that we need that rain!) Our vendors will be present and serious buyers will be there regardless of the weather… So don’t miss out on the chance to find something really special!
