Be in the Know
Businesses and merchants in Old Town measure their success by the Holiday Shopping Season . . . preliminary results look very promising. Merchants report their best sales numbers since 2007 and some are even better. Most businesses saw an upturn and saw a steady stream of business from One Enchanted Evening on. One of our members, Foxtail Gallery, who opened their one-of-a-kind store in mid 2010 were thrilled with how many people visited their store. Sales were excellent and they attribute people finding them through advertising. Many people who came into their store told them they’d never been to Old Town—and these were people from Fresno! This is the news we love to hear. By advertising your store/business, you bring someone seeking your services/products and they come to Old Town and discover ALL OF US! This is pitching in to help the greater good! While your goal is to get people in your door, the greater good is that it benefits everyone. That is the benefit of co-op advertising.
B.O.O.T. continues to advertise in a variety of ways, including those constant reminders on ABC/30’s weather reports with the Skycam, KMPH/26, KSEE/24, CBS/47, print ads in Clovis Roundup and Fresno Bee, Fresno Magazine, and on the radio with KSKS Country, KMJ, Y101, and KJWL. Our new website developed by Uhuru Network will continue to perform and we are on Facebook and Twitter as well.
B.O.O.T. continues to work with Uhuru Network to advance our website into the best sight for finding Old Town Clovis. This process will take a lot of work throughout 2012 but you’ll soon see the benefit of being a business in Old Town and having a profile on our site.
