One of the things we all look forward to during the holidays is the Old Town Clovis Kiwanis Children’s Electric Christmas Parade. In addition to floats decorated and lighted for the holidays, spectators can expect to see marching bands, decorated cars, equestrians and more. The Christmas Parade has been a favorite of the community for many years. Over 2,000 kids, adults, animals and floats, all decorated with lights, participate in this unique and festive holiday tradition. Prizes are awarded and Santa himself makes an appearance.

If you come to Old Town early you can hitch a ride on the free horse-drawn carriage, which runs from 1 to 4 PM every weekend through December 24th. Santa can usually be found in front of the EECU on Pollasky between Fourth and Fifth Street during this time if you’d like to bring your little ones for photos. This is also a great opportunity to get some holiday shopping done! Come early, claim your spots for the parade and browse the many antique stores, boutiques and specialty stores and grab dinner at one of our locally owned restaurants.

Don’t forget the Saturday Morning Year-Round Farmers Market at Pollasky and Fifth Street from 8 to 11:30 AM. Several of our vendors have special items for holiday giving including soaps, loofahs and more!
