Inaugural Car Show & Annual Black Pot Cook Off!

Last Sunday was our Inaugural Car Show and it was a roaring success! 237 show vehicles were displayed on the streets of Old Town for all eyes to see. There were all kinds of vehicles including Chevelle’s, Malibu’s, Nova’s, Camaro’s, T Bucket’s, Impala’s, Bel Air’s, Mustang’s, a 1927 police car, a 1946 Chevrolet RV, and so much more!

The first place winner for the car division was a 1939 Red Coupe Express Studebaker, owned by Anne Goodman of Fresno! The second place winner was a 1960 Yellow Hawk Studebaker owned by Lou & Debbie Raimondi of Clovis. The third place winner was a 1963 Blue Lark Cruiser Studebaker owned by Ashley Goodman of Fresno. All 3 winners were from the San Joaquin Studebaker Drivers Club! The People’s Choice award went to owner Sal Cruz of Santa Maria for his green 1963 Chevy Impala!

The Black Pot Cook-Off was quite the hit, as it is every year! The winners are as follows;

Junior Division Champions- the Boy Scouts Troop 354

Amateur Division Champions- the Black Pot Newbies

Best Main Dish- the Holley Gang

Best Side Dish- the Celtic Cowboys

Best Bread – the Celtic Cowboys

Best Dessert- the Celtic Cowboys

1st Place Best in Show- the Black Pot Newbies

2nd Place Best in Show- the Celtic Cowboys

3rd Place Best in Show- the Boy Scouts Troop 354
