Old Town Clovis Says “Thank You!”
Old Town Clovis had a great Holiday Season thanks to everyone who shopped local! People kept telling us that visiting our one-of-a-kind shops, restaurants and boutiques while “stepping back in time” was a nice respite from all the hustle and bustle of the Season! People enjoyed the free horse-drawn carriage rides (thank you to our sponsors: Education Employees Credit Union, Goode Ol’ Days Antiques, Victoria Rose Restaurant, Clovis Rodeo Association and Peachwood Medical Urgent Care). The Patch sold Christmas trees by the thousands and people enjoyed the music, ice skating rink and kiddie rides.
When you support local merchants, money stays in our community and strengthens our local economy. When money is spent with on-line retailers and at big box stores, only a small percentage of the revenue returns to the local economy. The rest leaves the state, flowing to out-of-state suppliers and back to corporate headquarters. By shopping at the ‘corner store’ consumers keep their communities from becoming “ghost towns” (devoid of neighborhood stores and services) or “clone towns” where Main Street looks like every other Main Street with the same fast food restaurants and retail chains. Old Town Clovis is proud of its local stores and business owners; you won’t find any chain stores or restaurants, which makes our little town unique.

Again, a big THANK YOU from your Old Town Clovis Merchants & Business Owners
